THE TOASTING GLASS….
if it could speak….would not
propose that it is
half full or half empty.
Said glass — being transparent —
would tell it like it is:
half full AND half empty.
Said glass — having no need to spin —
would raise itself to yang and yin.
To life and death.
Win some, lose some.
He said, she said.
Even this poem may be dualistic:
what it says, and
what you think it says.
Cheers.

Looks like I’ll be the first to drink to that.

Damn Cahill beat me to the punch or the drink. But it’s an old expression in my neighborhood with a story behind it. “I’ll drink to that.”
Is the glass half empty or half full doesn’t matter if it’s Johnny Walker Blue.

I’ll take your word for it, Don (since I drink nothing stronger than beer), but across the river in the Bluegrass State, I suspect Jim Beam would kick Johnnie Walker’s butt black and blue.

“Drink to my with only thine eyes…” and I will drink a mug of beer and be satisfied.
Great poem, mistermuse, and it resonates with positive energy. I wish I could write half as well.
