A PLACE AND A TIME CALLED CHRISTMAS
I bring Christmas greetings from Santa, wherever in the world you are.
I’d sing you a yuletide carol, but that would be a musical bridge too far.
So I give you a pass. He’s coming to town ‘high’ class – be good for goodness sake.
He has toys up the chassis for each lad and lassie….so you’ve got a lot at stake.
The above notwithstanding, I confess that many, if not most, Christmas songs leave me cold; but here’s one that warms the cockleshells of my heartstrings. How’d you like to spend Christmas on the beach at….
Can’t get into the Christmas spirit in a tropical clime?
Or maybe you’re thinking, this isn’t the time?
No problem — I know a cool place even more sublime:
A ‘hot spot’ for a song that was once Christmas prime….
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Itβs too early in the morning for me to listen to the selections (hubbyβs still in bed) but I will be doing it later. You have a lovely Christmas mistermuse and do take care! For our daughter and two granddaughters in Australia, the cookies and milk have already been left out (or did I see a vodka cooler in that array?) ;). Cheers!

Dear Carmen, you’re so charmin’ (and I don’t mean tp),
I can’t wipe the smile off my face when I hear from thee.
π
P.S. I almost forgot
This sobering thought:
May you prosper a lot
For all the joy you’ve brought.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Christmas Island looks like a really nice place to visit. I like how they close the road for crab-crossing. π
Love the toe-tapping music! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

The road closing for crab-crossing caught my eye too. That’s one road closing that wouldn’t make me crabby if I came upon it! Glad you enjoyed the music. Happy holidays, mm. Stay safe.

The music choices are so good, I can’t decide which I’d like more β Christmas Island or Harlem.
Belated holiday wishes, by the way!

Christmas Island was originally recorded by the Andrews Sisters in 1946, but I prefer the Leon Redbone version. Christmas Night In Harlem is an even older (Swing era) song with a more limited appeal, but I dig it and am glad you do too.
Happy Holidays !
